Our Practitioners
Meet the practitioners at Kula Studio in Kingston, working in The Studio & The Cocoon space above the main studio. The Cocoon space is offered outside of class times, providing a quiet calm place to relax, rejuvenate and come back home to yourself.
Helen - Sound Healing
Helen was drawn to Sound Healing through her love of yoga and by wanting to offer clients more ways to experience nervous system regulation without the need for a movement practice. Having taught and seen how much client enjoyed and relaxed in Yoga Nidra (a spoken meditation), she was intrigued to see if she could get past her own hearing difficulties to play the bowls and percussion. She fell in love with the calming vibrations and intentional atmosphere created by the sounds of gong, Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls & other percussion instruments. Creating these sound scapes helps people calm their racing minds, let go of stresses and perhaps process emotional and mental trauma in life. A one to one Sound Healing experience is a more intense way to experience the sound with bowls surounding you in our upstairs treatment area.

Sarah - Reiki
Sarah is a Birth Doula, Hypnobirthing Teacher and Reiki Practitioner, supporting women through all stages of their journey - from pre-conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum, through to chronic health conditions, perimenopause and menopause. Sarah’s approach is deeply nurturing and holistic, recognising that every woman’s experience is unique and that the body, mind and emotions are all interconnected. Through Reiki, she offers a safe and supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself and allow your body the time and space it needs to rest, restore and rebalance. Sarah also works with babies, using gentle Reiki to support them in recovering from birth, releasing tension and settling their nervous systems. Reiki can be particularly supportive for babies experiencing digestive or feeding challenges, unsettledness or tension, while also promoting a sense of calm and overall wellbeing. Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, navigating the transition into motherhood, moving through a period of change, or simply feeling that your body needs some extra support, Sarah’s intention is to hold a calm, compassionate space where you can feel nurtured, supported and truly listened to.
Katy - Reiki - Somatic Healing
Katy is a Qigong and yoga instructor, Reiki and somatic practitioner, whose work is rooted in the connection between the body, nervous system and our emotional wellbeing. Her own journey through grief and healing led her away from a decade-long corporate career and into this work, shaping the way she now holds space for others. Her classes are warm, grounding and accessible, blending traditional Qigong with breath, somatic awareness and a trauma-informed understanding of the nervous system. At the heart of her teaching is a simple intention: to help people step out of the constant doing, slow down and come back to themselves. Alongside teaching, Katy offers one-to-one Reiki and deeper somatic healing sessions, creating space for rest, reconnection and gently exploring what the body may have been holding onto.
