Our Teachers

Meet the teachers at Kula Studio in Kingston, all specialising in their individual practices of health, fitness, relaxation and strength.

Helen - Mindful Vinyasa, Hot Vinyasa, Yang Yin & Nidra & Sound Baths - Studio owner

Helen began her yoga journey in her teens and discovered Astanga in 1998; she was hooked on daily practice that induced feelings of happiness. Yoga kept her strong, supple and calm through her photography career, travelling for work, through children & navigating life’s ups & downs. Nick and Helen built this studio in 2011 for photography; it has recently transitioned into Kula Studio Kingston following her passion for health & wellbeing. Helen qualified as a yoga teacher in 2022 and completed her 500-hour training in 2025. She is also a Level 3 Sound Healer trained by The Sound Healing School UK. She enjoys a physically challenging practice, loves teaching arm balances & inversions, but is also passionate about how regular practice brings nervous system regulation, mental clarity & ultimately ease in facing life’s challenges.

Naomi - Flow & Go Run Club

Naomi discovered yoga whilst studying at uni and running regularly. She was seeking a good old stretch but fell in love with the many other benefits of the practice. Inspired by an active lifestyle, yoga became an anchor in her routine from almost the first class. After nearly 10 years of practice, she qualified as a teacher with Yoga Haven. She is trained in Vinyasa and, specifically, yoga for athletes; the deep connection and appreciation for all the body does is a huge part of her teaching to this day. Always encouraging gratitude and kindness to the body on and off the mat, and inspired by runs, she enjoys the balance of different styles of movement for longevity, uplifting energy and celebrating what the body can do.

Julz - Bands & Bells

Julz has twenty-four years of experience in health and fitness, from sales and marketing to general management, and fourteen years as a personal trainer specialising in strength training for women. She brings a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for helping people get results. She truly believes that resistance bands are one of the most effective tools for building strength. Unlike traditional weights, bands work with your body's natural movement patterns, making them ideal for correcting imbalances rather than creating new ones. Her group sessions are in a fun and supportive environment & each session is well structured and progressive, focusing on building strength, correcting and helping you feel stronger week on week.

Celine - Mat Pilates

Céline was drawn to Pilates by a love for exercise and a desire to help others. She firmly believes that movement should be accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level or background. She was trained by APPI, the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, as their curriculum appealed to her ethos, being the only Pilates programme in the world fully designed, taught, and developed by physiotherapists. Combining the safe, rehabilitative foundation of her APPI training with her own creative twist, Céline designs classes that are both physically rewarding and highly engaging. Dedicated to creating a supportive studio environment, Céline empowers every member of her class to move with confidence, strength, and ultimately a deep sense of satisfaction!

Katy - Qigong

Katy is a Qigong and yoga instructor, Reiki and somatic practitioner, whose work is rooted in the connection between the body, nervous system and our emotional wellbeing. Her own journey through grief and healing led her away from a decade-long corporate career and into this work, shaping the way she now holds space for others. Her classes are warm, grounding and accessible, blending traditional Qigong with breath, somatic awareness and a trauma-informed understanding of the nervous system. At the heart of her teaching is a simple intention: to help people step out of the constant doing, slow down and come back to themselves. Alongside teaching, Katy offers one-to-one Reiki and deeper somatic healing sessions, creating space for rest, reconnection and gently exploring what the body may have been holding onto.

Ene - TRX Strong & TRX Pilates

Ene is a Personal Trainer and certified TRX coach, bringing weekly TRX and TRX Pilates classes to the studio. Her approach is to building strength, confidence, and a positive relationship with movement. She has a real passion for understanding how our bodies move and helping people feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in what they can do. Her classes are designed to challenge you in the best way, helping you grow, learn, and surprise yourself, while still being fun, supportive, and welcoming. I believe training should leave you feeling energised, proud of what you’ve achieved, and excited to come back. She combines technical knowledge with genuine encouragement and support. Whether you’re completely new to exercise, returning after time away, or simply looking for a class where you feel comfortable being yourself, my goal is to create an environment where you feel safe to challenge yourself and progress.

Anna - Calisthenics Flow

With 13 years of elite-level gymnastics experience, Anna has developed a deep understanding of movement, strength, body control and the incredible capabilities of the human body. Her passion for calisthenics has grown from building an online presence into creating an in-person community, where she shares her love of movement and inspires others to explore their own potential. Drawing from her gymnastics background, Anna combines strength, skill and flow to create classes that are challenging, creative and accessible. She believes that everyone is capable of becoming stronger, learning new skills and discovering the beauty of what their body can do. Through her classes, Anna aims to inspire confidence, curiosity and a deeper connection with movement — helping people realise that you don’t have to be an elite athlete to do amazing things with your body.

Cheryl - Hot Hatha

After working in the corporate world, Cheryl chose to follow her passion for yoga. What began as a personal practice evolved into a lifelong journey of study, self-discovery and teaching. Today, she is passionate about sharing yoga as a holistic practice that supports physical wellbeing, mental clarity, emotional balance and spiritual growth. Having accumulated over 1,000 hours of study in a range of practices: Ashtanga, Nidra, Restorative, Kids yoga to name a few, Cheryl brings a wealth of experience and a genuine love for sharing yoga in a way that is both accessible and meaningful.

Stephanie - Weekly Reset

Stephanie is a BACP-accredited psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor, and for over 15 years she has had the privilege of supporting people across the NHS, the charity sector, private practice and higher education. What she has learned along the way is simple but important to her: looking after our mental wellbeing shouldn't be something we only turn to in a crisis — it belongs in the rhythm of everyday life. She loves helping people to get curious about themselves — exploring how stress shows up in the mind and body, what our emotions are really trying to tell us, and how even small, intentional shifts can build real resilience, balance and connection. Drawing on psychology, nervous system awareness and trauma-informed practice, she creates a space that feels warm and unhurried — somewhere you can slow down, reflect, and pick up practical tools you'll actually use. Her hope is that you leave each session feeling a little more connected to yourself, carrying insights and practices that can live in your everyday life.

Kirsty- Karma Yoga

With a background rooted in movement as a former dancer, gymnast, and actor, Kirsty enjoys weaving together dynamic yoga poses with intentional breathwork and meditation, inviting students to explore every facet of the mind, body, and breath. Over the years, the mat has become her sanctuary—providing a continuous source of release, comfort, and support through life’s major transitions, from navigating busy family life to embracing the menopause, divorce and welcoming the future. Kirsty recently trained with Allie Hill at Yoga Haven, and lives by the philosophy that learning never stops - staying curious and exploring yoga more deeply can help us to adapt, heal, and grow through every season of life.

Tina - Somatics, Flow & Restore

Tina’s yoga journey began alongside a demanding career in corporate IT, where yoga became a constant source of strength, balance and calm. She went on to train in Yoga and Somatics with Simon Low at The Yoga Academy and other internationally respected teachers and is accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga. She is passionate about helping people cultivate strength, resilience, and self-awareness, empowering them to reconnect with their bodies’ natural ease both on and off the mat.

Sarah - Hot Vinyasa

Sarah first discovered yoga in her mid-teens and started teaching in 2020. She is passionate about sharing the benefits she has gained from yoga, helping others connect more deeply with themselves and the world around them. Sarah’s classes incorporate yoga philosophy, pranayama (breathwork) and meditation, alongside a strong yet steady flow, offering space for you to explore a version of yoga that works for your unique self.
